Job Description

Perform various bookkeeping tasks while maintaining high-quality customer service. Client satisfaction drives our company’s success and should be your top priority. You must be able to efficiently manage your workload, prioritize tasks, and ensure all deadlines are met.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of prior customer service experience
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficiency with 10-key calculator
  • Must be able to pass employer-given QuickBooks quiz
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience (2 years office experience)
  • At least one year of bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks or QBO

Training & Development Supervisor

Job Description
As a Training & Development Supervisor at Balanced Books, LLP, you play a key role in onboarding, training, and developing team members across the organization. You are responsible for delivering training programs, maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring consistency in processes and performance. This role also oversees new hires throughout their training period, providing coaching, tracking progress, and supporting their success within the firm.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (QuickBooks preferred).
  • Experience in training, onboarding, or employee development.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience creating training materials (written guides, SOPs, or videos).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Education, or related field.
  • Experience in training, learning & development, or onboarding-focused roles.
  • Experience in a bookkeeping firm or multi-client accounting environment.
  • Experience developing structured training programs or SOPs.
  • Familiarity with LMS or training tracking tools.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising team members.
  • HR or training certifications (CPTD, SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.

Job Description

Perform various bookkeeping tasks while maintaining high-quality customer service. Client satisfaction drives our company’s success and should be your top priority. You must be able to efficiently manage your workload, prioritize tasks, and ensure all deadlines are met.

Essential Functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, computer, and customer service skills.
  • Manage client information across multiple database platforms (QBO, QuickBooks, Excel).
  • Use QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online to manage client accounting records.
  • Maintain client files (both hard copy and electronic records).
  • Assist with managing company deadlines.
  • Common bookkeeping tasks include, but are not limited to: processing payroll, paying bills, entering financial transactions, reconciling bank and credit card statements, invoicing, collections, and organizing client records.
  • Produce reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and client-specific requests.
  • Professional client correspondence (phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings).
  • Ability to check for accuracy in figures, postings, and reports, as well as research solutions.
  • Light financial statement analysis is required, including managing balance sheet documentation.
  • Efficiently manage time and properly record for company billing.
  • Must be able to work independently, multitask, and handle a variety of responsibilities.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and thorough.
  • Must maintain client confidentiality at all times.
